Qualifications and Experience:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in an Operating Room (OR) setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Expert knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative protocols
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in dynamic situations and work efficiently under pressure

Responsibilities:

• Provide safe and effective patient care before, during, and immediately after surgical procedures
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Prepare the operating room with necessary equipment and supplies, verifying instrument functionality
• Adhere to all facility policies regarding infection control, safety, and documentation standards
• Monitor the patient’s status throughout procedures, anticipate needs of the surgical team, and respond rapidly to evolving circumstances
• Advocate for patient safety at all times, maintaining a sterile environment and vigilant attention to detail
