Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Birmingham, Alabama

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience as an OR nurse
• Proficient in all phases of perioperative nursing: pre-op, intra-op, and post-op
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Detail-oriented and able to remain calm under pressure

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room for procedures and ensure all surgical equipment is sterile and functional
• Monitor patient vitals and provide continuous nursing care during surgeries
• Collaborate closely with the surgical team to anticipate and respond to patient needs
• Document all aspects of patient care before, during, and after operations accurately and thoroughly
• Advocate for patient safety and uphold infection control standards
• Provide compassionate support to patients and their families throughout the perioperative experience
