Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) - Bonner Springs, KS

Key Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Previous experience in the Operating Room (OR) required
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices
• Ability to effectively communicate with the surgical team and support personnel
• Excellent critical thinking, organization, and time management skills
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications preferred

Schedule:

• Contract position; details regarding shifts and hours will be provided during the interview process

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating suite by setting up instruments, equipment, and supplies specific to each procedure
• Circulate and/or scrub for surgical procedures according to assignment and patient needs
• Closely monitor patient status throughout pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases
• Practice strict infection control and adhere to institutional protocols and sterile techniques
• Serve as a liaison between surgical staff, anesthesia providers, and other departments
• Document comprehensive perioperative assessments and procedures in accordance with regulations
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or surgical circumstances
• Support patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout every step of care
