Experienced perioperative nurses have an exciting opportunity to deliver exceptional care in the operating room environment. This contract position is designed for Registered Nurses with a robust background in the OR, particularly those with strong orthopedic surgical experience.
Schedule and Hours:
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications:
- Valid RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in orthopedic procedures
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Ability to work collaboratively with providers, surgical staff, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients and their families during the surgical experience
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to patient needs
- Maintain accountability for patient safety and quality of care during all perioperative phases
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members
- Deliver compassionate, detail-oriented nursing in a fast-paced surgical setting
- Ensure adherence to infection prevention protocols and perioperative standards
- Support patients and families through the surgical process, communicating clearly and compassionately
