A highly skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse is needed for a contract assignment. This role carries responsibility for delivering exceptional perioperative nursing care to surgical patients and their families, maintaining a strong focus on compassion, safety, and excellence. Collaboration with surgical teams and healthcare providers is essential to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Schedule:
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week (of 40 possible hours, per facility policy)
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Demonstrated expertise in orthopedic surgery cases
- Ability to work within a 70-mile radius rule
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assume accountability for individualized patient and family-centered care throughout surgical procedures
- Prepare the OR and coordinate with multidisciplinary team members to promote seamless workflows
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes during procedures
- Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, and infection control regulations
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and support staff for optimal patient outcomes
- Provide patient and family education regarding perioperative care and recovery
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately and timely
