A highly skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse is needed for a contract assignment. This role carries responsibility for delivering exceptional perioperative nursing care to surgical patients and their families, maintaining a strong focus on compassion, safety, and excellence. Collaboration with surgical teams and healthcare providers is essential to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Schedule:

  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week (of 40 possible hours, per facility policy)

Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in orthopedic surgery cases
  • Ability to work within a 70-mile radius rule

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assume accountability for individualized patient and family-centered care throughout surgical procedures
  • Prepare the OR and coordinate with multidisciplinary team members to promote seamless workflows
  • Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes during procedures
  • Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, and infection control regulations
  • Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and support staff for optimal patient outcomes
  • Provide patient and family education regarding perioperative care and recovery
  • Document all aspects of patient care accurately and timely
