Working on a rotating schedule of 36 hours per week—Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00am to 7:30pm—you'll be part of a high-performing surgical team in a fast-paced, Level 1 trauma environment. This setting will expand your clinical skill set and allow you to collaborate with experienced surgical professionals and diverse leadership styles, enhancing your ability to adapt, communicate, and manage complex cases. Every shift is an opportunity to deepen your expertise and strengthen your resume.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of inpatient surgery experience
- Previous experience in a Level 1 trauma center
- Trauma case competency is a must
- Valid RN license and current BLS certification
- Proficiency in at least 5 core surgical services
- Positive, flexible attitude and excellent communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with perioperative care in a fast-paced, high-acuity OR
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nurses
- Respond efficiently to trauma cases and adapt to urgent situations
- Maintain patient safety and high standards of clinical practice
- Document all care thoroughly and accurately
- Uphold professionalism in every interaction
