Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Brooklyn, Michigan

Schedule:

• Shifts: 8:30am–9:00pm
• On-call: 1 call per week (9:00pm–7:00am) and every sixth weekend (Saturday/Sunday, 7:00am–7:00pm or 7:00pm–7:00am)

Qualifications:

• Current, valid RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room circulating experience in a Level 2 or higher trauma center
• Prior experience in robotics, ortho trauma, and neuro procedures required
• No heart surgery experience necessary
• Strong assessment, planning, and evaluation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver quality patient care throughout the surgical process using the nursing process
• Circulate and assist with various surgical procedures, including robotics, ortho trauma, and neuro cases
• Document and supervise care and teaching for patients and their families
• Communicate relevant patient/family information promptly to the interdisciplinary team
• Respond to variances in patient goals, participate in solution-finding, and support the implementation of care modifications as needed
• Maintain surgical standards and patient safety protocols at all times
