An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in Operating Room procedures, specializing in Gynecology and Genitourinary surgeries, to join a Level One Trauma Center. This contract role requires a highly experienced professional with a minimum of three years in level 1 trauma settings, capable of managing a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.
The ideal candidate will have proficiency with advanced surgical techniques and equipment, including Robotics (Davinci Xi), PCNLs, Nephrectomies, Ureteral Reimplants, Hysterectomies, Cystectomies, Colpocleisis, Hysteroscopies, and Ureteroscopies. Adaptability and calmness under pressure in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional perioperative nursing care during Gynecology and Genitourinary surgical procedures.
- Utilize specialized surgical technologies and equipment, including Storz, Stryker, Olympus tools, and the Intuitive Robot system.
- Collaborate efficiently with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain strict adherence to all clinical protocols and safety standards.
- Participate in call rotations, including overnight trauma call as applicable.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years as an RN in a level 1 trauma operating room setting.
- Certification CNOR preferred.
- Competence in robotics-assisted surgery and a comprehensive range of GU/GYN surgical procedures.
- Familiarity with Epic EMR system beneficial.
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, including a 1:4 weekend rotation.
- Strong team orientation with flexibility, accountability, and punctuality.
Schedule/Hours:
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM day shifts.
- 36 guaranteed hours weekly.
- Weekend rotation every 4th weekend.
- One overnight trauma call shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) as required.
