Operating Room RN in Brunswick, ME

Step into a dynamic surgical environment and provide advanced patient care as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room of a leading Level One Trauma Center. This contract opportunity calls for a clinically skilled RN practiced in Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures, comfortable with surgical cases ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, and equipped to function in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.

Schedule and Hours:

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours guaranteed)
• Weekend rotation: one in four weekends
• Call requirements: one overnight 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM trauma call; specialty call as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current, active RN license
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an Operating Room, Level One trauma experience required
• Proficient in surgeries and instrumentation for Robotics (particularly Da Vinci Xi), PCNLs, nephrectomies, ureteral reimplants, hysterectomies, cystectomies, colpocleisis, hysteroscopies, and ureteroscopies
• Comfortable with Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot platforms; familiarity with Epic EMR
• CNOR certification preferred
• Strong skills in general, GU/GYN, ortho trauma, ortho joints, neurosurgery, ENT, pediatrics, plastics, dental, and endovascular (preferred)
• Flexible, accountable, timely, and team-oriented approach

Primary Responsibilities:

• Circulate and/or scrub in a variety of surgical procedures within a state-of-the-art 26-bed operating suite
• Deliver attentive, individualized care by maintaining a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams to optimize patient safety and outcomes
• Manage patient care throughout the surgical process with a focus on trauma and specialized procedures
