Pediatric Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Byron, Georgia

Step into a vital perioperative role providing care to pediatric and adult patients in a dynamic operating room environment. Seeking a Registered Nurse experienced in the Operating Room, ideally with a background in pediatric surgical settings. This contract assignment supports surgical teams and patient care excellence, requiring a professional who thrives in high-acuity situations and collaborative environments.

Schedule:

• 0hr Day Shift, 40 hours per week
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts), 0700 to 1730
• On-call: 1 weeknight on call, with call back as needed
• Weekend call: Rotates every 4th weekend; full call every 5th weekend
• Holiday: Expectation to work 75% of holidays
• No floating to other units

Qualifications:

• Valid and unrestricted RN license
• Previous experience in Operating Room nursing (OR RN), including both adult and pediatric cases
• BLS certification required; additional perioperative or pediatric certifications preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple urgent priorities and deliver high-standard, compassionate care
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary surgical teams

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Scrub and circulate in surgical procedures for pediatric and adult populations
• Ensure safe, efficient flow of the operating room environment
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively and proactively communicate patient needs
• Adhere to established protocols for infection prevention and safety
• Support surgeons and anesthesia providers with instruments, equipment, and patient care tasks
• Document accurately and maintain high levels of patient confidentiality
