Operating Room Registered Nurse – Travel Contract Opportunity
Location: Canyon Country, CA
A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Operating Room RN to take on a 13-week travel contract in Canyon Country, CA. This role requires expertise in ortho, trauma, and robotics within a Level I or II trauma setting. The schedule includes three 12-hour shifts per week on a fixed schedule, with required call coverage on weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays.
Schedule:
- Thursday & Friday: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- Saturday: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Call: Required
Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced perioperative nursing care in the operating room setting.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to support orthopedic, trauma, and robotic procedures.
- Respond promptly to call assignments during scheduled call periods.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize clinical judgment to ensure patient safety and quality care throughout surgical interventions.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active California RN license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certified.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant operating room experience in Level I or II trauma centers.
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience preferred.
- Proficient in orthopedic, trauma, and robotic surgery nursing practices.
