Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Cape Coral, Florida

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide expert care in a dynamic Operating Room environment. This contract opportunity calls for a candidate who is confident in supporting a surgical team and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients throughout their operative experience. Key Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted RN license
• Proven experience working as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room (RN - OR)
• Solid understanding of OR procedures, aseptic techniques, and surgical safety protocols
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, surgical techs, and ancillary staff
• Adaptability in fast-paced, occasionally high-pressure situations

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prep operating rooms and ensure surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and properly arranged
• Provide hands-on patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond to emergencies following best practices
• Maintain thorough documentation of procedures, interventions, and patient status
• Support surgeons and anesthesia providers during operative cases with efficiency and initiative
• Strictly adhere to infection control policies and safety standards
• Assist in transporting patients and ensuring their confidentiality and comfort
