- Active RN license with eligibility to practice.
- Minimum of one year recent experience in an Operating Room setting.
- BLS certification (additional ACLS/PALS preferred).
- Proficient in circulating and/or scrubbing on a variety of surgical procedures.
- Strong knowledge of surgical asepsis and patient safety standards.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to evolving situations and diverse surgical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms and supplies prior to procedures.
- Assess, monitor, and advocate for patients before, during, and after surgery.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff.
- Demonstrate expertise in maintaining a sterile field and infection control practices.
- Document care accurately, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Respond efficiently to emergent situations and changes in procedure plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures and postoperative care as appropriate.
