Advance your nursing career by delivering exceptional perioperative care in a specialized operating room environment. This contract role centers on facilitating high-quality outcomes through skillful assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, working closely with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Schedule & Call:
- Day shift
- 2–8 hour call shifts every 4 weeks
- 30-minute response time required
Qualifications:
- Active California RN license
- CPR and NRP certification
- Minimum three years of recent experience as a registered nurse
- Minimum two years of recent experience in an OR or related specialty
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
- Ability to submit an OR-specific questionnaire
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and holistic care based on patients’ self-identified goals, utilizing the complete nursing process
- Thoroughly assess patient and family needs, establishing priorities and documenting data accurately
- Develop care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Implement evidence-based nursing interventions, adapting plans in response to patient progress and family input
- Continuously evaluate care effectiveness, updating goals and interventions as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Serve as a strong advocate for patients and families, supporting participation in decision-making and championing their rights
- Educate patients and families with tailored learning plans, revising approaches based on ongoing evaluation
- Maintain seamless communication with the entire healthcare team to coordinate care and expedite workflow
- Assign appropriate tasks to team members within their scope as care needs dictate
- Adhere strictly to departmental policies, guidelines, and quality standards
