Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with strong Operating Room expertise to provide comprehensive care in a dynamic surgical environment. This contract opportunity is designed for RNs who thrive in fast-paced settings and are dedicated to supporting patients and families through every phase of the perioperative experience.

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • 2-8 hour call shifts every 4 weeks
  • 30-minute response time required

Qualifications:

  • Active California RN license
  • Current CPR and NRP certifications
  • Minimum three years of recent RN experience, with at least two years in a specialty area (OR preferred)
  • Completion of OR questionnaire mandatory

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient- and family-centered care with an emphasis on individualized, holistic goals
  • Conduct thorough assessments, document data, and develop patient care plans in collaboration with families and healthcare teams
  • Implement and evaluate age/culturally appropriate plans, adapting interventions as needed
  • Foster optimal patient outcomes through proactive planning and quality-focused care
  • Serve as a patient advocate, promoting participation and upholding rights
  • Identify educational needs for patients and families, developing and revising individualized plans
  • Recognize communication barriers and utilize interdisciplinary resources to ensure therapeutic relationships
  • Delegate responsibilities to team members within their scope and coordinate care among ancillary staff to support patient progression and workflow
