Schedule/Hours:

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current and unrestricted RN license in Massachusetts
- BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred (must obtain within 60 days if not yet certified)
- O.R. nursing experience and CNOR certification highly preferred
- Strong communication, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
- Professional, positive approach with a commitment to patient-focused care
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in a dynamic perioperative setting
- Effectively collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
- Maintain sterile fields, handle and sterilize instruments, and uphold strict aseptic practices
- Accurately document interventions, patient responses, and ensure timely handoffs to promote continuity of care
- Engage in patient education, discharge planning, and ethical patient advocacy
- Respond swiftly in emergency scenarios, safeguard patient privacy, and promote a healthy environment for all
- Monitor compliance with all hospital standards, including hand hygiene and incident reporting
- Support colleagues by functioning as a preceptor and pursuing ongoing professional development
