Deliver expert perioperative care as a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room. This opportunity allows you to utilize your clinical expertise in a dynamic surgical environment. As an OR RN, you will collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe, patient-focused care throughout all phases of surgery.
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position (specific schedule details provided upon interview).
Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered RN license.
- Demonstrated experience in the Operating Room setting.
- Proficient with OR protocols, sterile technique, and instrumentation.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced situations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Circulate and/or scrub in various surgical procedures, maintaining a safe environment.
- Prepare operating rooms by arranging equipment and verifying sterilization.
- Monitor patients’ conditions before, during, and after operations.
- Act as a patient advocate throughout the perioperative process.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists.
- Accurately document procedures, interventions, and responses in electronic health records.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing educational and training opportunities related to perioperative care.
