Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes through accurate assessment and monitoring
• Collaborate with surgical staff to prepare the operating room and equipment
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and protocols throughout procedures
• Assist surgeons as scrub or circulating nurse based on needs and assignment
• Advocate for patients’ needs, ensuring comfort, dignity, and clear communication
• Document all care delivered, medications administered, and changes in patient status accurately and promptly

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute care operating room setting
• BLS certification (required); ACLS preferred
• Strong understanding of operating room procedures, aseptic technique, and equipment
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
• Ability to remain composed under pressure and respond decisively in urgent situations
