Qualifications and Experience:
- Active RN license with good standing
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as an RN in the Operating Room
- Proficiency in circulating and/or scrubbing for a variety of surgical procedures
- Current BLS certification (additional certifications such as ACLS preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with surgical teams, anesthesia providers, and support staff
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and assessment skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, effective nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Prepare operating rooms, ensuring equipment and supplies are sterile and ready
- Monitor patients during surgery, anticipating needs of the surgical team
- Document nursing care and surgical interventions accurately
- Serve as an advocate for patient safety and comfort at all times
- Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and facility standards
- Provide education and reassurance to patients and their families as needed
