Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of one year recent experience in an Operating Room setting
- Proficient in circulating and/or scrubbing for various surgical procedures
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to respond swiftly and effectively in emergencies
- Strong focus on patient safety, infection prevention, and advocacy
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for surgical patients
- Prepare the operating room and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functional
- Assist surgical team during procedures as circulator and/or scrub nurse
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, interventions, and patient responses
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards
- Foster a supportive and efficient work environment
- Advocate for patients, ensuring their needs are addressed throughout the perioperative process
