Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active and unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum of one year recent experience in an Operating Room setting
  • Proficient in circulating and/or scrubbing for various surgical procedures
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Ability to respond swiftly and effectively in emergencies
  • Strong focus on patient safety, infection prevention, and advocacy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for surgical patients
  • Prepare the operating room and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functional
  • Assist surgical team during procedures as circulator and/or scrub nurse
  • Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, interventions, and patient responses
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards
  • Foster a supportive and efficient work environment
  • Advocate for patients, ensuring their needs are addressed throughout the perioperative process
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals
