Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Concord, North Carolina

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour day shifts: 11:00 am – 11:00 pm
• 36 hours per week
• Average of 6 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule (45-minute response time required)
• On-call hours: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am; weekend call shifts: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm – 7:00 am
• Weekend rotation: Coverage may be scheduled shifts or call; scheduled weekend shifts typically 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
• Holiday requirement: 75% of holidays

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 1 year operating room experience, circulating and/or scrubbing
• BLS certification required
• Proven ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to fulfill on-call and holiday coverage as scheduled

Responsibilities:

• Circulate and/or scrub in a variety of surgical procedures
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure all safety protocols are followed
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists
• Accurately document intraoperative care and communicate patient needs
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergent situations during procedures
• Participate in call rotation and provide coverage for scheduled holidays
