OR RN in Decatur, GA

Skilled Registered Nurses with a background in the Operating Room are invited to bring their expertise to a contract opportunity in a dynamic perioperative setting. This position is ideal for those with a passion for surgical patient care and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted RN license
• At least one year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN (circulating and/or scrubbing experience a plus)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Strong assessment, clinical, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities within interdisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with a range of surgical procedures and protocols

Schedule:

• Flexible contract assignment—schedule typically includes variable or rotating shifts to support operations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct perioperative care for patients before, during, and after surgery, adhering to best practices and safety protocols
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal outcomes
• Maintain strict sterility and oversee the operating room environment
• Document care activities accurately and in accordance with facility policies
• Monitor patient responses and act swiftly in emergencies or changing situations
• Adhere to regulatory standards and facility procedures
