Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current, unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Operating Room experience, preferably with pediatric cases
- Proficient in perioperative nursing protocols, including scrubbing and circulating duties
- ACLS and PALS certifications required; BLS certification also necessary
- Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills
- Team-oriented approach with commitment to patient safety and family-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive RN services for pediatric patients throughout the surgical process—pre-op, intra-op, and post-op
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other health professionals to ensure optimal outcomes
- Monitor patient status and respond effectively to any changes during surgical procedures
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control measures
- Provide support, information, and reassurance to pediatric patients and their families
- Accurately document interventions and patient responses
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement and professional development activities
