Pediatric Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Decatur, Georgia

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current, unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Operating Room experience, preferably with pediatric cases
• Proficient in perioperative nursing protocols, including scrubbing and circulating duties
• ACLS and PALS certifications required; BLS certification also necessary
• Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills
• Team-oriented approach with commitment to patient safety and family-centered care

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive RN services for pediatric patients throughout the surgical process—pre-op, intra-op, and post-op
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other health professionals to ensure optimal outcomes
• Monitor patient status and respond effectively to any changes during surgical procedures
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control measures
• Provide support, information, and reassurance to pediatric patients and their families
• Accurately document interventions and patient responses
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement and professional development activities
