Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) in Eagle Pass, TX

Join a dedicated surgical team providing exceptional patient care with an exciting opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses and Certified Surgical Technologists in the operating room. This contract position offers hands-on experience supporting surgical procedures and collaborating within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 6:30am – 3:00pm
• On-call required 2-3 days per week, including every other weekend

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license or NBSTSA Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• High School diploma required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an operating room setting
• Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow staff during procedures
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and sterile fields for surgery
• Monitor patient safety and adherence to sterile technique throughout procedures
• Assist with OR documentation, equipment sterilization, and supply management
• Support patient care before, during, and after surgical interventions
• Respond to emergency situations quickly and effectively
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled, with flexibility to support after-hours surgical needs
