Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Edwards, Colorado

Deliver essential patient-centered care in a dynamic surgical environment. This specialized position is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in the operating room and particular expertise in orthopedics. Schedule/Hours:

• Facility guarantees 36 hours per week (out of a possible 40).

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license.
• Minimum 2 years’ recent operating room nursing experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in orthopedic operating room procedures.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to work effectively within a 70-mile radius.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
• Dedication to patient advocacy and family-centered care.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate nursing care for surgical patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity throughout their perioperative experience.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Monitor patients before, during, and immediately after surgery, responding promptly to changes in condition.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all perioperative activities and interventions.
• Adhere to strict infection control and safety procedures to promote optimal outcomes.
• Foster supportive relationships with patients and families to ease anxiety and improve overall experience.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in operating room nursing.
