Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • 2–8 hour on-call shifts every 4 weeks
  • 30-minute response time required

Qualifications:

  • Current California RN license
  • Active CPR and NRP certifications
  • Minimum three years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse
  • At least two years of recent experience in a specialty area, preferably in the Operating Room
  • Completion of an OR-specific questionnaire (submission required)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized, holistic care to patients and families, supporting their unique goals
  • Deliver safe and efficient care utilizing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the nursing process
  • Serve as an advocate to ensure patient and family needs are met with compassion and respect
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and adapt comprehensive care plans
  • Evaluate progress toward clinical goals, participate in patient care conferences, and revise interventions as needed
  • Identify educational needs for patients and families, develop tailored plans using adult-learning theory, and adapt strategies based on progress
  • Accurately document assessments, care plans, interventions, and patient responses according to departmental guidelines
  • Delegate tasks within the team scope and coordinate with ancillary staff to streamline patient care and workflow
