Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) - El Indio, TX

Schedule:

• Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• On-call requirement: 2-3 days per week and every other weekend
• Contract duration: June 8, 2026, to September 5, 2026

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required
• NBSTSA certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is mandatory
• Minimum of two years’ experience in an operating room setting
• BLS certification required
• Must reside at least 100 miles away

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the surgical team by preparing and maintaining the sterile field before and during procedures
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment needed for various surgical cases
• Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention practices and hospital protocols
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient data
• Respond promptly and effectively to changes within the surgical environment and prioritize patient safety at all times
