OR RN in Endicott, NY

Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to effectively support surgical teams on a contract assignment. This position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic perioperative setting alongside skilled professionals dedicated to patient care.

Schedule/Hours:

• 3 shifts per week, 12-hour evenings (36 hours/week)
• Evening shift
• One weekend every 3 to 4 weeks
• 1 to 2 evening call shifts per week

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS certification required
• 3-5 years’ previous experience as an OR RN
• Exposure to general, GYN, GU, ENT, orthopedics, and robotic surgeries greatly valued
• Trauma surgery experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Circulate and/or scrub during surgical procedures across multiple specialties ensuring patient safety
• Prepare and maintain the operating room, supplies, and equipment
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and support staff throughout each case
• Provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative patient care
• Respond to urgent and emergent intraoperative situations
• Document procedures and nursing contributions accurately
