Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Endicott, New York

Embark on a rewarding assignment as a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room. This contract role seeks an experienced RN with expertise in perioperative and surgical care. You’ll be working 12-hour evening shifts, totaling 36 hours per week, in a dynamic environment that offers exposure to a variety of surgical services.

Schedule:

• 12-hour evening shifts (3 shifts per week)
• 36 hours per week
• Occasional weekend rotation: One weekend every 3 to 4 weeks (evenings)
• Hours of on-call duty: 1 to 2 shifts per week

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 3-5 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience with trauma surgeries is preferred, but not required
• Proficient in one or more of the following: General, GYN, GU, ENT, Orthopedics, or Robotic surgeries

Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, effective nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Scrub and circulate to support the surgical team in diverse cases
• Monitor patient conditions and respond swiftly to urgent needs during procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure high standards of care
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to facility policies and protocols
