This contract Registered Nurse opportunity focuses on the Main Operating Room, offering a stimulating role with exposure to diverse specialties such as joint replacement, spine, kidney and liver transplant, robotic surgery, vascular procedures, ENT, and plastics.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Rotating night and weekend call

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license required
  • Demonstrated operating room nursing experience
  • Transplant surgery skill set mandatory
  • EMR experience (Meditech preferred)
  • Strong communication skills and adaptability in a fast-paced surgical environment
  • Preferred: 3+ years’ recent OR experience and specialty certification

Preferred Experience:

  • Work history in high-acuity surgical settings
  • Previous exposure to robotic-assisted and transplant procedures
  • Professional certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate care throughout all phases of surgical procedures
  • Scrub and circulate during a variety of cases, including joints, spine, transplant, vascular, plastics, and robotic surgeries
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient safety and optimal outcomes
  • Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Meditech EMR
  • Participate in orientation and adhere to all unit-specific guidelines and hospital protocols
  • Respond effectively to surgical emergencies and participate in rotating call duties
