This contract Registered Nurse opportunity focuses on the Main Operating Room, offering a stimulating role with exposure to diverse specialties such as joint replacement, spine, kidney and liver transplant, robotic surgery, vascular procedures, ENT, and plastics.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Rotating night and weekend call
Qualifications:
- Current RN license required
- Demonstrated operating room nursing experience
- Transplant surgery skill set mandatory
- EMR experience (Meditech preferred)
- Strong communication skills and adaptability in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Preferred: 3+ years’ recent OR experience and specialty certification
Preferred Experience:
- Work history in high-acuity surgical settings
- Previous exposure to robotic-assisted and transplant procedures
- Professional certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care throughout all phases of surgical procedures
- Scrub and circulate during a variety of cases, including joints, spine, transplant, vascular, plastics, and robotic surgeries
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Meditech EMR
- Participate in orientation and adhere to all unit-specific guidelines and hospital protocols
- Respond effectively to surgical emergencies and participate in rotating call duties
