An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced perioperative nurse skilled in surgical first assisting. This role supports a busy Level 3 trauma center in the operating room, requiring an advanced clinical background and a commitment to quality patient care.
Schedule/Hours:
- Shift: 07:00 – 17:30, Monday through Friday
- Call: One weekday per week and 1–2 weekend days per month
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license with the authority to practice
- RN First Assistant (RNFA), Physician Assistant (PA), or Surgical Assistant (SA) certification required (CST certification not accepted)
- Previous experience in Operating Room (OR) nursing within an acute care or trauma setting
- Current BLS/ACLS certifications highly preferred
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with surgeons and other perioperative team members to deliver exceptional surgical care
- Function as a first assist during operative procedures involving a broad range of specialties in a Level 3 trauma center
- Prepare operating rooms, manage instrumentation, and ensure adherence to aseptic technique
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and participate in trauma cases as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies and safety standards
- Participate in pre- and post-operative patient assessments and interventions

$1,815 - $1,920/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
