A contract position is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room, offering an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on perioperative care. Schedule/Hours:

  • 40 hours per week guaranteed (except holiday weeks—Independence Day, Labor Day, which are 32-hour weeks)

Key Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
  • proven experience as an OR Circulator in perioperative settings
  • Current BLS certification
  • TB clearance completed within the last 12 months
  • Adaptable and resourceful, with a commitment to patient safety and quality of care

Preferred Experience:

  • Travel nursing background appreciated but not required
  • Effective communication and team collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Circulate within the Operating Room, ensuring patient safety throughout all phases of surgery
  • Coordinate with surgical and anesthesia teams for optimal patient outcomes
  • Accurately document care and maintain compliance with facility best practices
  • Provide emotional support to patients and families before, during, and after surgical procedures
  • Maintain aseptic techniques and assist with equipment and surgical supply management
