Schedule/Hours
- Travel assignment with variable shifts depending on OR schedule
- May include nights, weekends, or on-call rotations
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS required within 60 days if not held at hire
- Previous operating room nursing experience and CNOR certification strongly preferred
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinical setting
- Strong communicator with a friendly, patient-centered approach
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver perioperative nursing care aligned with protocols and industry standards
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Oversee sterile technique and the handling of surgical instruments and specimens
- Advocate for patient safety and privacy at all times
- Educate patients and families, and participate in precepting and mentoring
- Participate in emergency response and eliminate risks to patient safety
