Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) in Fortuna, CA

This contract opportunity offers stability with a guaranteed 40-hour workweek—except for specified holiday weeks—and the potential to serve a diverse patient population in a well-respected healthcare setting.

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week guaranteed, except for Independence Day and Labor Day weeks (32 hours).

Required Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in California
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Recent TB clearance (within the last 12 months)
• Proficiency in perioperative procedures, ensuring safety and comfort for surgical patients
• Prior experience as an OR Circulator strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing care
• Circulate within the operating room, anticipating surgeons’ and procedural team needs
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection control protocols
• Demonstrate critical thinking and rapid assessment in urgent situations
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other health professionals to ensure optimal outcomes
• Complete accurate and timely documentation per hospital policy
