Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Fortuna, California

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week guaranteed except for holiday weeks (32 hours during Independence Day and Labor Day weeks).

Key Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted California RN license.
• One year or more experience as an RN in the Operating Room (OR Circulator).
• Current BLS certification.
• TB clearance obtained within the last 12 months.
• Commitment to maintaining patient safety and following evidence-based surgical protocols.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

Core Responsibilities:

• Circulate in the operating room, providing real-time support to surgeons and the surgical team.
• Prepare OR suites, equipment, and supplies before procedures.
• Monitor and advocate for patient safety and comfort throughout pre-op, intra-op, and post-op periods.
• Maintain meticulous documentation related to surgical procedures and patient responses.
• Strictly adhere to infection prevention and control standards.
• Communicate clearly with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes and swift responses to emergent situations.
