Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) - Fortuna, CA

Skilled registered nurses with significant experience in the operating room are sought for a contract assignment in a dynamic surgical environment. This role places you at the heart of perioperative care, with opportunities to deliver excellence in patient outcomes alongside a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Assignments follow a contract structure for added flexibility

Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Demonstrated expertise in an Operating Room setting (RN-OR)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficiency with surgical instruments, infection control, and perioperative protocols
• Clear communication abilities and strong critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Prepare operating rooms, surgical equipment, and supplies
• Assist surgical teams during operations, maintaining strict sterile technique
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes
• Document care and procedures accurately and efficiently
• Adhere consistently to safety and infection control guidelines
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and support staff to ensure smooth procedural flow
