As a member of an advanced thoracic/vascular team in a dynamic 1000+ bed hospital, you’ll collaborate with expert clinicians and gain insight into diverse surgical practices and leadership styles. The opportunity to rotate through complex cases—including neuro, trauma, transplant, and robotics—will expand your skill set while enriching your career portfolio.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour shifts: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 9:00 pm (variable days per week based on unit needs)
  • Late stays may be required based on caseload
  • Orientation Dates: 6/22, 6/29, 7/6, 7/13 (no orientation the weeks of 6/8, 6/15)
  • Floating may occur among OR teams as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of perioperative nursing or certified surgical tech experience
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTA certification required and on file at time of submission)
  • Proven expertise in thoracic and vascular procedures (endovascular proficiency required)
  • Familiarity with a wide array of surgical specialties, including complex trauma and transplant cases
  • Prior travel assignment experience
  • Ability to scrub and circulate; strong teamwork and adaptability skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist and support surgeons with diverse thoracic and vascular procedures
  • Ensure the safety and preparedness of the operating suite for complex, high-acuity cases
  • Participate in late cases as needed based on unit demands
  • Adapt to varying case types and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
