Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Franklin, Tennessee

Advance your nursing expertise in a dynamic operating room setting within a large, high-acuity environment. Multiple contract positions are available for experienced OR RNs to support surgical teams in a busy, 1000+ bed hospital’s main OR. This 26-week assignment requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced Level 1 trauma center.

Schedule / Hours:

• Variable shifts available (weekdays may change based on unit needs)
• Block schedules are not available
• Late stay coverage required; four late stays per 13 weeks, generally not more than one hour past scheduled end time
• Start dates: 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, or 11/16
• Minimal time off approved; must be available for two of three major holidays

Qualifications:

• Active RN license on file at time of application
• Minimum of 2 years recent operating room nursing (circulating) experience; scrub skills not required
• Previous travel assignment experience required
• Certifications as required for an OR setting
• Experience in Level 1 trauma strongly preferred
• Comfortable working with adults only (no pediatric OR coverage)

Responsibilities:

• Circulate on a full range of surgical cases (excluding cardiac, transplant, trauma/neuro), including general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid procedures, ambulatory ortho, and burn cases
• Float between OR suites as needed within the main OR (does not float to other locations)
• Adapt to high patient volumes and varying case complexity
• Collaborate with surgical staff to deliver safe, efficient care in both inpatient and outpatient ORs as well as procedural suites
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training as scheduled

$1,941 - $2,123/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
