Key Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license (California)
  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience as an OR Nurse (RN-Operating Room)
  • Current BLS certification (required); ACLS preferred
  • Proficient with surgical procedures, aseptic techniques, and patient safety protocols
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient care throughout pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative surgical stages
  • Monitor patient status, administer medications, and provide ongoing assessment before, during, and after procedures
  • Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to infection control standards
  • Anticipate surgical team needs and ensure all instruments and supplies are available
  • Document care and observations accurately in patient records
  • Support and educate patients and their families on perioperative procedures and recovery
