Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active and unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of one year recent experience in an operating room environment
- Proficiency with perioperative procedures, sterile technique, and surgical instrumentation
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
Schedule:
- Full-time hours with rotating shifts, including possible weekends and holidays depending on surgical scheduling
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment and supplies
- Closely monitor patients’ vital signs and document all details accurately
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols at all times
- Educate patients and families regarding perioperative care and recovery processes
