Key Qualifications:
- Valid RN license (California)
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience as an OR Nurse (RN-Operating Room)
- Current BLS certification (required); ACLS preferred
- Proficient with surgical procedures, aseptic techniques, and patient safety protocols
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient care throughout pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative surgical stages
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, and provide ongoing assessment before, during, and after procedures
- Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to infection control standards
- Anticipate surgical team needs and ensure all instruments and supplies are available
- Document care and observations accurately in patient records
- Support and educate patients and their families on perioperative procedures and recovery
