Travel Operating Room RN in Fruitland, NM

Bring your expertise as a Registered Nurse to the operating room, where you’ll play an essential part in delivering high-quality patient care. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on surgical outcomes alongside a dedicated and skilled perioperative team.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year of circulating and scrubbing experience in the operating room
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with surgical and multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to patients throughout the perioperative process, including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases
• Prepare and maintain a safe, sterile environment for surgical procedures
• Monitor, record, and report patient vital signs and responses to anesthesia and procedures
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams, ensuring proper surgical instrumentation and supplies are available
• Uphold stringent infection prevention and patient safety protocols
• Accurately document observations, interventions, and outcomes in patient medical records
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding surgical procedures and recovery
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgical technicians, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
