Schedule/Hours:

• Travel assignment; flexible scheduling based on facility need

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
• Active BLS required; ACLS required within 60 days of hire if not already held
• O.R. nursing experience and CNOR certification strongly preferred
• Ability to excel in high-pressure, priority-shifting environments
• Stellar communication, multitasking, and a positive, proactive approach

Responsibilities:

• Foster a culture of courtesy, respect, and confidentiality for all patients and staff
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain sterile fields, direct proper handling and sterilization of instruments
• Perform and document thorough patient assessments, plan and implement individualized care
• Execute proper identification practices and verify consent and site prior to procedures
• Manage specimen handling, sponge, needle and instrument counts per policy
• Lead patient/family education, discharge planning, and supportive resource coordination
• Proactively monitor for safety risks, respond promptly to emergencies, and champion hand hygiene compliance
• Supervise and delegate tasks, mentor team members, and contribute to ongoing professional development initiatives
