Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Massachusetts RN license required
• O.R. nursing experience strongly preferred; CNOR preferred
• ACLS certification required upon hire (BLS accepted with plan to obtain ACLS within 60 days)
• Strong communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to maintaining patient dignity, safety, and privacy

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care using best nursing practices and protocols in the OR
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to ensure positive patient outcomes
• Maintain sterile fields and properly manage surgical supplies and specimens
• Administer medications and IV therapy accurately and safely
• Prioritize patient care effectively, recognizing the need for emergent intervention when necessary
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning
• Mentor colleagues and participate in ongoing professional development
