As a traveling RN in the Operating Room, you’ll work alongside dynamic surgical teams, adapting to diverse practice styles and hospital protocols. Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time travel assignment
- Flexible hours based on surgical schedules
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license, valid in Nebraska or compact state
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience
- Strong clinical skills in surgical procedures, sterile technique, and handling emergent situations
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Ability to quickly acclimate to new teams and technology
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, compassionate care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and tech staff
- Assist in prepping the OR, maintaining aseptic environments, and circulating or scrubbing as needed
- Accurately document care, monitor patient status, and respond to evolving needs
- Support patient advocacy and education for surgical patients and families
