Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) in Hendersonville, TN

Exceptional opportunities await for experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses seeking a dynamic assignment. This 26-week contract offers six openings for skilled RNs dedicated to delivering superior surgical care within a large, high-acuity hospital setting. With start dates available on 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, and 11/16, these roles are essential to supporting diverse surgical specialties in a 56-suite OR, including inpatient and outpatient procedures, as well as 5 procedural rooms.

Schedule/Hours:

• Variable shifts based on unit needs; weekdays vary each week
• Late stay duty required; expect to cover four late stays per 13-week period
• Limited time off permitted; schedule requires availability for 2 of 3 major holidays

Qualifications:

• Active RN license on file at submission
• Minimum of 2 years’ circulating experience in the OR (scrub experience not required)
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Comfortable in a high-volume OR; experience with all service lines (excluding cardiac, pediatric, trauma/neuro)
• Familiarity with robotics, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, and transplant surgeries
• Adept at managing adult patient populations
• Ability to float within the OR suites as needed (single hospital site)

Responsibilities:

• Circulate in all surgical specialties except cardiac and pediatric procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Respond efficiently to urgent or late-stay surgical needs, staying until coverage transitions
• Maintain meticulous documentation and uphold patient safety standards in every case
• Adapt to a fast-paced, Level 1 trauma environment, providing care for complex and diverse cases
