Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Hendersonville, Tennessee

Advance your nursing expertise in a dynamic Operating Room setting, working alongside a diverse team at a high-acuity, 1000+ bed hospital. This contract assignment is designed for experienced OR RNs seeking a challenging environment where adaptability and skill are valued.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour shifts, 7a–7p; days of the week will vary to match department needs (no block scheduling available)
• Late stay required based on patient flow—anticipated on a rotational basis
• Must work two of the three major holidays during the contract

Key Dates and Duration:

• Orientation starts available: 9/14, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, 10/26
• Solid 26-week commitment required; requests for shorter terms cannot be accommodated
• Limited time off permitted; excessive leave cannot be approved

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of current circulating experience in the Operating Room
• Prior travel nursing experience in an OR setting is required
• Active RN license on file at the time of application
• Experience in Level 1 trauma and large ORs (56 operating rooms, inpatient/outpatient, 5 procedural suites)
• Must be flexible to float within the OR as required (no floating to other locations)
• Comfortable managing all service lines except cardiac, transplant, and trauma/neuro pediatric cases
• Ability to work with adult populations (no pediatric patients)
• Scrub experience not required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Circulate in a fast-paced surgical environment supporting a broad range of specialties (general, ortho, neuro, vascular, urology, plastics, GYN, ENT, liver/renal/pancreas transplant, cardiothoracic, and advanced hybrid procedures)
• Uphold high standards of patient safety and care in a Level 1 trauma center
• Participate in late stays as scheduled, ensuring seamless transition of care at shift changes
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, providing support wherever needed within the OR

$1,941 - $2,123/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
