Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Huntersville, North Carolina

Experienced registered nurses with a background in the operating room are invited to provide essential perioperative care in a dynamic, collaborative environment. In this contract-based opportunity, professionals will deliver patient-centered care during surgical procedures and play a critical role in the surgical team’s success.

Schedule & Shift Information:

• 12-hour day shifts: 11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
• 36 hours per week
• Average of 6 on-call shifts per 6-week period with a 45-minute response time
• On-call windows: 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. or 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m./7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. on weekends
• Weekend shifts may be scheduled or on-call, according to department needs (typically 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
• Expect to work 75% of holidays as designated
• No floating between departments

Qualifications:

• Current, unencumbered RN license
• Prior experience in an operating room setting (OR RN proficiency required)
• Ability to respond to calls within 45 minutes during assigned on-call shifts
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with a multidisciplinary surgical team
• Compliance with all policies and perioperative safety standards

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care throughout perioperative phases
• Prepare the operating room and ensure all equipment is functional and sterile
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document procedures and communicate patient needs or concerns
• Approach each shift with adaptability, professionalism, and a focus on the highest standards of patient safety

$1,685 - $1,843/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
