Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour day shifts, three days per week (36 hours total)
- Typical shift: 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Weekend rotation required; coverage could be scheduled shifts (typically 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.) or call assignments (7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.)
- Average of 6 call shifts per 6-week schedule, 45-minute response time required during call periods (call may include overnights and weekends)
- Holiday work required, with expectation to be available for approximately 75% of recognized holidays
- No floating required
Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license
- Minimum of one year of recent experience in the Operating Room as an RN
- Must possess clinical expertise in all phases of perioperative care
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to respond to call assignments within required 45-minute window
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive intraoperative nursing care to surgical patients
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs
- Adhere to the highest standards of safety, infection control, and patient advocacy
- Document care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record
- Maintain a calm and focused presence in urgent or high-stakes scenarios
