Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Jackson, Michigan

This contract role calls for an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to deliver safe, compassionate care in a Level 2 trauma setting. You’ll play an integral part in ensuring that every surgical experience exceeds patient and team expectations.

Schedule/Hours:

• Shift: 8:30am – 9:00pm
• Call requirement: One call per week (9:00pm – 7:00am)
• Weekend rotation: Every sixth weekend (Saturday/Sunday, 7:00am – 7:00pm or 7:00pm – 7:00am)

Key Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of 2 years circulating experience in a Level 2 or higher trauma OR
• Proficiency with robotics, orthopedic trauma, and neurosurgery procedures
• No heart procedure experience required
• Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver patient-focused care throughout perioperative phases
• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Circulate during a broad range of surgical procedures utilizing robotics and supporting trauma and neuro cases
• Provide clear, concise updates and collaborate with the multidisciplinary health care team
• Teach and support patients and families before, during, and after procedures
• Identify and take action on clinical variances, documenting solutions and ensuring follow-through

$2,236 - $2,365/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
