Step into a pivotal role supporting surgical excellence as an Operating Room Registered Nurse. This contract opportunity offers the chance to put your specialized skills to work in a dynamic OR setting for evening shifts.
Schedule:
- 3 x 12-hour evening shifts per week (36 hours total)
- Evening shift schedule
- One weekend required every 3 to 4 weeks
- 1 to 2 on-call shifts weekly
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license with at least 3–5 years of Operating Room experience as a traveler
- Current BLS certification
- Exposure to a variety of specialties including trauma (preferred but not required), general surgery, gynecology (GYN), genitourinary (GU), ear-nose-throat (ENT), orthopedics, and robotics
- Excellent critical thinking and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered care throughout the surgical process, including pre-operative preparation, intraoperative support, and post-operative recovery monitoring
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain strict aseptic technique and uphold the highest standards of infection prevention
- Document all aspects of care clearly in patient records
- Participate in call coverage as required, demonstrating flexibility and reliability
