A trusted travel healthcare staffing agency is seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for an exciting travel assignment in Joplin, Missouri. Join a dedicated surgical team while experiencing a welcoming community known for its low cost of living and friendly atmosphere.

Position: OR RN – Travel Contract

Location: Joplin, MO
Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 13 weeks (potential to extend)
Shift: Full-time, rotating or set shifts (call may be required)

Job Requirements

• Provide safe, competent nursing care throughout the perioperative process

• Circulate and scrub (if applicable) across a variety of surgical procedures

• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia staff, and surgical technologists

• Prepare and maintain sterile fields and ensure compliance with OR safety standards

• Assess patient condition before, during, and after surgery

• Document patient information accurately in EMR systems

• Follow all facility, state, and national guidelines for surgical care

Needed Qualifications

• Active RN license

• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Operating Room experience

• BLS and ACLS certifications required

• CNOR certification preferred but not required

• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and OR protocols

• Ability to function effectively in high-pressure or fast-paced environments

Assignment Details

• 13-week travel contract

• Acute care hospital OR department

• Full-time hours, with potential call or weekend rotation
