Key Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license.
• Previous experience working as an Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN).
• Proficiency in circulating and/or scrubbing roles.
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and infection control.
• BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Excellent critical thinking and organizational skills.
• Outstanding communication skills, with a collaborative approach.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Perform patient assessments prior to surgery and verify all documentation and consents.
• Assist surgical team during procedures by providing instruments and maintaining sterile field.
• Monitor patient safety and respond rapidly to changes in condition.
• Document patient care and surgical activities accurately and thoroughly.
• Provide post-operative care, including patient assessment and collaborating on discharge planning.
• Communicate with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
