Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Kannapolis, North Carolina

Embark on a rewarding opportunity to deliver critical care in the Operating Room as a Registered Nurse in a contract role. This position calls for expert clinical skills and composure in a fast-paced surgical environment, supporting optimal patient outcomes.

Schedule & Shift Information:

• 12-hour day shifts (36 hours/week)
• Typical shift: 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
• Weekend coverage may involve scheduled shifts (7a-7p) or on-call shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a)
• On-call and call-back: Average of 6 call shifts per 6-week period; 45-minute response required
• Travelers are expected to work approximately 75% of holidays
• No floating to other units required

Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Current experience as an Operating Room RN
• Strong grasp of perioperative nursing standards and best practices
• Proficient in supporting surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs in a collaborative environment
• Exceptional critical thinking, assessment, and documentation skills
• Willingness to fulfill on-call and holiday shift requirements

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical setting, ensuring patient safety at all times
• Circulate and assist during diverse surgical cases, adapting to changing team and patient needs
• Perform patient assessments before, during, and after operative procedures
• Communicate promptly and effectively with all members of the healthcare team
• Comply with established protocols, infection control, and safety guidelines
• Respond rapidly to emergent situations and participate actively in on-call rotations

$1,685 - $1,843/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
