Schedule/Hours:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week (06:30–17:00)
- Occasional weekend and on-call responsibilities (1–2 weekends, 3–6 on-call days within 3 months)
- Holiday coverage as needed based on unit requirements
Your journey begins with comprehensive orientation, including sessions on campus, with the Director of Nursing, and virtual Epic training—equipping you with the tools and support to thrive. You’ll be instrumental in a variety of surgical specialties, making a meaningful difference while expanding both technical skills and clinical expertise.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Current KS RN or Compact license and AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience, including general surgery, robotics, orthopedics, GU/GYN, ENT, and plastics
- EMR proficiency (Epic preferred)
- Strong organizational skills with adaptability in a dynamic OR setting
- New graduates will not be considered
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert nursing care throughout perioperative phases for complex surgical cases
- Assist and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia providers
- Ensure patient safety and best practices in infection control
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and interprofessional teamwork
