Experienced registered nurses with a background in the operating room are needed for a contract position. Qualifications:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in an operating room (OR) setting
- Strong knowledge of perioperative procedures and patient safety protocols
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to effectively collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical team members
- Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills
- Attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to surgical patients throughout perioperative phases
- Prepare operating room, supplies, and equipment according to case needs
- Circulate and/or scrub as needed, assisting with surgical instruments and sterile fields
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes promptly
- Adhere to institutional policies and regulatory standards
- Accurately document patient care, interventions, and progress
- Communicate effectively with surgical team, patients, and families to ensure optimal outcomes
