Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Kenansville, North Carolina

A respected healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in the Operating Room to support surgical teams in delivering exceptional patient care. This contract position is ideal for nurses who excel in fast-paced, high-acuity environments and are dedicated to patient safety and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Valid and unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of one year of recent experience working as an Operating Room RN
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and perioperative nursing standards
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

• Circulate and/or scrub for a variety of surgical procedures in the Operating Room
• Monitor and assess patients before, during, and after surgery
• Ensure all necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment are available and functioning
• Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols
• Accurately document nursing care and patient responses
• Advocate for patient needs and maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times
• Provide emotional support to patients and families
