Deliver advanced, compassionate care as a highly skilled Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room. This contract opportunity offers a dynamic environment, where precision, adaptability, and patient advocacy are at the heart of your practice. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide both direct and indirect care that is tailored to the unique needs of each surgical patient and their family members.
Schedule:
- Day shifts
- Two to eight hours of on-call shifts every four weeks
- 30-minute response time required while on call
Qualifications:
- Active California RN license
- Current CPR and NRP certifications
- Minimum of three years of recent RN experience
- At least two years of recent experience in an OR specialty nursing role
- Completion of OR questionnaire required prior to assignment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized, holistic care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues
- Perform thorough assessments, document findings, and set patient-centered goals
- Develop, adjust, and implement care plans based on evolving patient needs and clinical outcomes
- Deliver care using the full nursing process, ensuring safety, efficacy, and compliance
- Engage families in care decisions, serve as an advocate, and provide education tailored to their needs
- Recognize socio-cultural factors, adapting care to support diverse populations
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with the surgical team and ancillary staff to optimize workflow and expedite patient progress
- Delegate care tasks appropriately, support the growth of team members, and participate in patient care conferences for quality outcomes
