Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) in Lakeville, MN

Advance your career in perioperative nursing by providing skilled care in a dynamic operating room environment. This contract role spans 13 weeks and calls for a Registered Nurse with OR experience to deliver expert care to surgical patients.

Schedule:

• 5 shifts of 8 hours (days)
• 7:00 AM start times, with occasional 10:30 AM starts

Qualifications:

• Active Minnesota RN license or MN temporary permit
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Minimum two years of perioperative nursing experience, specifically within the operating room
• Strong knowledge of OR protocols, surgical safety, and sterile technique
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced surgical setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Circulate and/or scrub during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and supporting the surgical team
• Prepare the operating room, including instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Monitor patient status and provide intraoperative care according to best practice and physician instructions
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety standards
• Serve as a patient advocate in the OR, updating the surgical team and facilitating smooth transitions to and from the operating suite
• Accurately complete documentation required for patient records
