Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Lancaster, California

Join a dynamic perioperative team providing expert care for surgical patients in a fast-paced environment. This contract position offers an opportunity for experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses seeking to make an immediate impact within a well-equipped setting. Nurses play a vital role in complex surgical cases, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and utilizing advanced surgical technology.

Schedule:

• 3x12-hour fixed shifts each week
  • Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
  • OR Sunday, Monday, Tuesday: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Rotating call responsibilities on weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Position available for a 13-week duration starting immediately.

Qualifications:

• Current California RN license (active and in good standing)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (all required)
• Minimum 2 years’ recent Operating Room experience (including experience in Level I or II trauma settings)
• Specialized knowledge in Orthopedic, Trauma, and Robotic surgeries
• At least 1 year of prior travel nursing experience
• Completion of a skills checklist at submission

Responsibilities:

• Provide perioperative patient care in accordance with established protocols and best practices

• Circulate, assist, and support surgical teams during orthopedic, trauma, and robotic procedures

• Demonstrate flexibility in covering call shifts as required, ensuring patient safety and smooth case progression

• Monitor surgical suites for equipment and supply needs

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff to deliver high-quality clinical outcomes

• Ensure meticulous documentation and communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team

$2,812 - $3,060/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
