Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position with variable shifts
  • Potential for weekends, evenings, or on-call hours

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse license or Surgical Technologist certification (CST)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Minimum of one year of recent experience in an operating room setting
  • In-depth knowledge of surgical aseptic techniques and perioperative processes
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced, high-pressure situations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the operating room and ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and ready prior to procedures
  • Collaborate efficiently with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other members of the surgical team
  • Assist with patient positioning, sterilization, and intraoperative documentation
  • Monitor patients’ status throughout procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort
  • Support both preoperative and postoperative patient care tasks as needed
  • Uphold infection control and safety standards at all times
